Soccer School in Portugal

Becoming a professional soccer player is not easy. It takes leadership from the coaching team and of course, lots of hard work and motivation from the player. Right now, players are looking for a place where they can combine good training and continue their soccer journey and be safe. During Covid times, as we know, there are many concerns with traveling. However, Portugal is one of the safest countries right now during the pandemic. It is much less populated than other EU countries and only shares a border with Spain, which means it has been able to more effectively control its borders than other peers. Furthermore, the Professional Youth Soccer Academy in Porto is following all necessary government rules and recommendations to protect players.

The Professional Academy in Porto is looking for professional players from age 15+ to participate in a scouting program. The academy is run by the Vice President of the Portuguese league. Players who pass the tryout will have the opportunity to play against professional teams like Benfica, Porto and other soccer clubs, in addition to receiving media exposure. Players will participate in soccer and fitness training with professional coaches (who worked at Juventus Academy, AS Monaco, etc.) until they receive a professional contract with a Division 1, 2 or 3 soccer club. Numerous players have been signed over the years to various professional soccer clubs in Europe with the help of the academy. Athletes will also focus on their studies so they do not lose their academic progress while being away from home and will also learn Portuguese language and culture. They will also have the opportunity to be featured on a Portuguese sport channel.

Note: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Professional Soccer Academy in Portugal has extended the tryout program until October 31, 2020.
