How to work on your mental game.
Mental toughness is one of the most important aspects in soccer. Here are 3 tips for strengthening your mental game:
1. Build your confidence.
Practice makes perfect. Build confidence in your soccer technique and in your game. The more you practice, the more confidence you will build. Mentally visualize how you kick the soccer ball and be positive. Turn negative thoughts into positive ones.
2. Learn to relax.
Before every match, do something that makes you calm. Our tips: Listen to some positive music, close your eyes and visualize your game, and do breathing exercises.
3. Focus on your goals.
Small goals will lead you to big achievements. Give yourself small goals for the week and try to achieve them. It will build your confidence for the long run and will lead you to your ultimate goal.
